No more going to bed late; surfing the moon away on VS, Shopbop, ebay...
I need my beauty sleep, period.
Else no amount of eye cream is going to save me.
Oh God. Thats how nasty school hols are for me.
I can just spend the whole day shopping online, checking out the latest bag collection, and basically doing netbish...
U cant blame me! With the super attractive USD rate, even pop likes ebay...
Anyway lets make this a quick one.
Were at Ikea last evening ( woke up too late for breakie.)
Didnt manage to get the sofa bed coz the man kept complaining abt the lack of space in the study room.
We got a Poang instead.
Psst... Im so proud of HB, he assembled it all by himself.
And so to reward him, we got 2 detolf for his SOC's collection...

relaxing... but excuse me, its for me
No date is fixed yet. But its never too early! (Hint huh!)
Dinner was at New York New York.
The meat platter was ahem... but mud pie and service is to die for!
Go if ur a sucker for fab attention from the staff, even on a crowded weekend nite!
Both thumb up!

its my second visit, and the place never fails to bring back memories of LA...

And now im complaining about the yellowish picture taken using HB's Ominia II. I look horribly nerdy...

Top: Turtleneck from Ralph Lauren (coz i had rashes all over my neck)
Skirt: Marc Jacob (i heart all his stuff now!)
Accessory: White Chanel 2.55 Cavier
No makeup = seedy eyes *pout*
- Mood:
cheerful
HB was joking that we should have gotten the monogram series when we were in town the other day.
Can u imagine my disappointment when the entire PP was combed and there was no sign of a decent one, let alone a good mice?
As much as the Razor in pink looks ever so tempting, i say i can think of at least 1000 better ways of spending my $89.
Went home totally in a foul mood, empty handed and a growling tummy.
Dinner was alittle too light.
Gimme the seaweed french fries from Mcdonald anytime! I dun care about the FAT issue anymore!
GROWL

- Mood:
annoyed
Yawn, gotta hit the sack after this.
Still need to wake up early tomorrow.
Its going to be a long day.
Hope everything will goes well! (shall blog more on it in my private entry)
Anyway loots from today's shopping at JL besides the usual lingerie.
And they justify my spending (only spent $55) if not of the entrance tickets to Kitty Lab.

perfect way of spending the weekend away: braving Sitex and people watching with HB
- Mood:
chipper
The weather doesnt allow for anything else besides some soupy hot noodles, i tell you.
And so, its ajisen instead of the usual thai and jap when we were shopping for early Xmas pressies.
its been ages since i have them, and they are way better than what i rem! Must try!
HB's tontoro ramen
my tomyan ramen
and we shared the fried cuttlefish and fried tofu
Woke up bright and early on Sat morn as Pucci was due for his grooming session at Vivo city.

the lonely old man vs the happy chap when he came home
We had breakie at white dog cafe while pucci was being groomed. Its our first time and we will definitely be back!

cream of chicken with an extra order of the button mushrooms, they are huge!

our lunch value set are all worth the money, will definitely come again, have i already said that earlier?
and i just need to have this when i saw it! So oriental!
Not too bad for first timers like us!

we will be back soon, the HB gets the kick out of it, he wants to go again!

supper after prawn fishing at ho kee, we were super hungry, burp!
- Mood:
awake
The long weekend has been packed with all sort of activities you can think of.
Movie, catching up with the folks, prawning (yes, prawning, had never tried that before!), shopping, trying out new dining places...
Didnt even sleep late these days, wanting to head out as soon as we can!
And we have enjoy ourselves really really much. (Except for the disappointment with Kitty Lab.)
Hey Jac, i did popped by expo today bright and early armed with my cam, but the ticketing officer still said no to photo taking inside...
Tragedy isnt it? And so manage to console myself with more shopping at JL.
The man didnt even grumble one bit!
He will rather have me shopping for clothes! And he promise the trip to Puroland soon!
I was hopping around like a mad old lady on Thursday. Coz, it was officially the last day of school.
No more waking up at 7am to reach school at 8am. And our school newsletter team wins ourselves the OCA this year! Hooray!
Was helping Nura with her spring-cleaning of her workstation when some of the colleagues started singing her the birthday song.
Goodness me! I wasnt even aware its her 29th birthday. Was so guilty that i had asked my RO for timeoff to head out so as to get the gal a tiny cake. The rest of the day was spent catching up with the gals, no more spring-cleaning. Oops.

That nite, instead of catching up on the beauty sleep, (check out my panda eyes!), i had made HB drove us to GV Grand.
New Moon New Moon New Moon! The movie is anything i expected, (boring, that is coz the book itself is the least fav of my installments) but both of us have a great time popping popcorn and checking out Jacob, my all time fav character! And i do appreciate the fact that the movie follows the book really closely. Now i cant wait for 'eclipse' to be release on the 30th June 2010, at least i dun have to wait for another year!
Mom needed to work OT on Haji and so HB and i decided to spring a surprise on pop when we dropped by in the evening with Yoshinoya takeaway and his fav durian puffs
And this is when the Dare comes in; that is IF i am able to catch Philip's chinchilla and pass it to HB, he will get me the Chanel cambon im eying on for the loooongest time. And so!

And oh, we bought a new figurine for the coming Xmas from Jessie as well.

Part 2 coming up next, before the sleepy bugs kick in!
- Mood:
chipper
Colourless, lifeless, and the fringe desperately needs trimming.
Missed doing my signature 'bird nest' aka 'amy winehouse' hair style coz i misplaced the haircraw.
It must be the pre monday blues...
And moi totally dread reporting to OCC tomorrow morning at 7.30am...
Pictures with the folks awhile ago at fortunate restaurant toa payoh.
Food shoots and its sooo expensive!
Only the durian fritters are passable (no photo though as we ate them before realising)
The teochew fried rice will have pass the mark, if only its not so pricy!

6 freaking hours more before work starts, bravo...
- Mood:
bored
Love them. Love Them. love them.
tale capolavoro adorante
They have so many stuff i swear by.
And who can say no to their eyelash curler?!
Though i was super tired from work, we were at Marina Sq this afternoon, soaking in the coming Xmas spirit.
Popped in their outlet to grab some sweet for the colleagues who volunteered their help that the other day.
"Lunner" was at Cafe Cartel. Super yummy, or is it because its a beautiful day? Hmmm....

the poor man was so hungry with no food the entire morning while i reported back for work

and the SA was so sweet to pack all my goodies in this santa looking eco bag!

im so addicted to their xmas city line, and this london hanky will come in handy the time we visit London again!
And i shall spend the next couple of days cramming in all the post-colonial literature theories i can remember.
It is NOT going to be easy, but im doing it!

the 1 day old are still bright and cheery!
Were at IKEA getting the 188 glass jars for the coming D&D.

Thanks HB for helping!
Dinner treat from HB at Spageddies Bedok. And so i need to do well for the final paper.

need a fringe cut soon

Butterfish, chicken scallopini and escargots!
Yup, we are cutting down on food!
All things beautiful; the fine beaded details on my new flats
gimme more of them anytime!
- Mood:
determined
Had to have them done this week somehow, coz i will never have the luxury for that come next week. Am crossing my eyes that they will last till next Friday for the D&D.
Its exam first, follow by the prize giving and before i know it, the day is here.
Period.
Anywho, the pedicure session was well spent replying SMS to colleagues tying up the loose ends...
Imagine sending 45 SMS messages within the 1 hour and 15minutes? Pretty impressive i must say!

Visited Mustafa like finally this evening. Have never ever been there before in my last 29 years of life.
Today seems like a perfect time since the HB wanted some hot pipping food for dinner.
We decided on Seoul Garden and remembered vividly that there is an outlet at City Square Mall.
To sidetrack abit, the outlet is having 1 for 1 on weekdays besides Friday(though), so drop by for fab service.
At least i did! Attractive servers, charming waiter who topped up drinks so often i lose count...
Its been yorks since we visit the restaurant, i think the last time we ate there was like 5 years ago? I have no idea about the other outlets, but this one works pretty much like Sakae Sushi; click and the staffs will bring over your food. Their mixed berry and oreo vanilla with nata de coco ice cream are yummy. U should give it a try.
Oh right, back to the trip to Mustafa. The place is huge, and honestly, it isnt as bad as i thought.
I would have love to shop alittle longer if not of the rain.
(We took advantage of the free parking redemption at City Square and decided to walk there instead)
There are so many things to see and check out. I am so amaze by the way the cashiers keep the money in their drawer.
So retro, so unseen these days in SIN!

i could barely open my eyes after a week of tough work; the interior decor is so different from what the memory serves us

flushed after all the bbq-ing; there's a halo above my head
thanks to a blog friend, i found the shoes im super smitten to that actually flatters my ankles

its world kindness day, and HB receives 2 gerbera daisies
- Mood:
busy
U bet, no breakie at all coz the man was out even before i woke up this morning at elevenish.
Food was instant noodle and the apple crumble we bought yesterday at carrefour.
I hardly wakes up without the man watching the telly besides me, but he was up and out early today coz he was planning something really sneaky.
Hence, no food, no HB, no cheer for the whole of the sunday.
Except for the yellingS from the irritating neighbor next door.
Am finally done with the 2 reports i have been brushing off for the whole of this weekend.
Its tedious work and when the HB suggested me doing them on Friday nite, moi declined flatly.
I so deserve to just park myself in front of my current read then.
Not to mention the final paper which is coming up the Wed after this.
Plans were to start 'flipping' alittle this weekend, but i didnt even have the time to iron the man's shirts!
Fortunately he has a full month supply to get him going.
I will iron next Sat and starts the revision on Sun. I promise.
Alrighty, enough of ranting from the silly old woman.
So what is this sneaky project the man was undertaking?

the before

and the after; see how dark outside was after Lance is finally done up?!
So there, weekend gone with the wind.
We only have a meal today, and thats the packed rice the man bought when he was on his way home.
U tell me, why am i still so fat?!
- Mood:
cheerful
1) On Food
2) On Shopping
3) On how a beautiful saturday should be spent
It can be so easy; when expectation is lowered
Devoted the whole morning with the last few chapters of "Mistress of the game" while the man was out busy making appointments for Lance.
Arent terribly impressed with the ending (well there isnt any, strictly saying) and what can u say when an amateur like me detected errors such as "Singaporian" and "thick, blond mop of old", when it should be "gold"?
Anywho, none that i can think of can really replace the great Sidney Sheldon. I say i will give it a 2.5 out of 5, really.
We had a simple dinner at Lerk Thai Marina Square this evening.
Im trying to keep to my resolution of blogging less on food since even the face seems rounder and fuller these days.
But i simply have to blog about this particular staff from L.T.
We have always enjoying dining at this particular Thai chain. Staffs are always attentive and polite, maybe its just how they treat one another back in their own country. The one who was leading us to our place was all lovely and pleasant. But i cant say the same to the one who took our order.
Upon hearing we are sharing our orders, he had asked rather loudly do we need extra plates for them.
Be it sensitive or whatever, i dun see the need for him to repeat the sentence "Do u need extra plates since you are sharing your food" at two occasions. (roll my eyes) I mean we already had an empty plate each.
Anyway maybe im too passive... Or i should have say yes to the request...
A older Caucasian couple came in asking for a window seat when its packed with diners. However none is available. Can u imagine the same staff walking to yet another couple and requested them to give out their window seats?!
The HB was saying that if a similar situation happens to us, he will have walk out of the place immediately. I guess the young couple is simply too kind hearted. If not of their lemon glass drink which resembles mum's, i will not bear with this either!

we didnt opt for a window seat, prefering having a cosy cushion corner; all time must order: Seafood papaya salad

we were sharing these, and its when the staff started to be rude

delicious bee hoon and 6 pcs tago

i look tired with no makeup on
Actually we were out xmas tree shopping. IKEA has some lovely live ones which will be really difficult to get rid of after the festive season. Had wanted to check out the ones in Carrefour, but they arent catching the man's attention. We ended up going home with no Xmas tree; but a new head gear for my coming D&D.

i hope this will look good for the event; posing with my newest love! Isnt she yummy?
Speaking of which, outfit for today was this long jersey dress i bought awhile but didnt have the chance to wear as yet. Because of this spidery coweb straps in front which totally spolit the look, i have them sewn together while the man was getting ready.

the before and after

am counting down to xmas!
- Mood:
bouncy
Hate waking up tomorrow. Hate the Monday Blue.
Hate thinking what to wear to make myself feel better...
Anyway, its been a lousy week.
With Pucci warded to Mount Pleasant for a nite on Tues.
Tons of exam papers to be marked over the weekend. Yada Yada Yada.
But the fact that i got to pick 2 PM figurines the HB bought me as our anniversary pressies never fails to cheer me up!
And we finally watched a movie after months of sticking to the DVDs.
MJ deserves better than the Blu Ray honestly.
Minus the fact the huge lady in front of me who was swaying along with all the songs i had to pat her on the shoulder, its a great show! Go watch it! If you a fan like me, or not a fan like the man.
Happy tots for the week:

met the gals for dinner last monday at New York New York AMK Hub

first up: 2010 members' only figurine; look how sweet the pout is

2nd: Bought the newer version of the O21, after all the in house discount provided by Jessie, HB paid only $61.10 for this

3rd: The man was rather skeptical that i might get a double of this, i swear i dun have this yet; look how the sandals resemble my Chanel

MJ tee from last nite's movie; coloured tights from PP Isetan; only $5 each!

lashes still very intact after a week!

some jealous freak scarred lance so badly he needs a new paint job soon; boo boo!
Shame on you, whoever you are!
- Mood:
listless
Coz we were up early, visiting the Bugis temple with the inlaws, rounded up with one of the most delicious Thai food we ever had at some coffee shop nearby. U tell me, pineapple rice for 4 person priced at $5, along with 3 other side dishes, the father inlaw paid only $18 for everything.
I ate enough, swear to begin the diet plan from today onwards. (am sharing the takeaway subway with the HB for dinner in awhile; to disgress alittle, i think of London whenever we eat subway.)
After dropping the folks home, we set off for City Square Mall, located 15 minutes away from where we stay. Nothing really fab since most of the shops arent exactly open for business yet, except for the many eating places and my all time fav Metro. (we even shook hand with Mr Batman. Didnt take any picture though despite the SA wanting us to as the man prefers the Astro boy. But honestly between you and me, i kinda like Batman the most among the rest of the super heroes. Simply coz he is the richest, hah hah!)
Anywho, we bought the MIL 2 tees, and i managed to snag home a black chiffon top and another tier dress which will be so perfect for the new week. And oh, if ur a fan of kose white mask, do go down and grab yours! They are selling like hot cakes at $18 each only. (Im not sure of the usual price, but im very sure its very much cheaper since every customer is only entitle to buy 2!) Also spotted is the limited edition kit and makeup bag KOSE has collaborated with Kitty Lab, the exhibition will be on next month at the Singapore Expo, are u going? Well i am!
Im also uploading my newly 'implant' eyelashes for all to see. I thought they look pretty good since i only pay $57 for them. Its just the face washing that is making me crazy! Seriously i hope they dun drop off so soon, though i have already found one strand on my shoulder awhile ago. Boo boo.

i hope these work well
And for those who shows their concern after my previous post;
Im trying to live with my fats, so dun worry too much for me.
Pink of health is definitely more important at this age!
- Mood:
chipper
Seriously, i had enough of mui-fan;
the infamous food for a patient, and ready for anything spicy and comforting.
The man has been most kind to bring me out for some light breather.
Clogging at home just doesnt seem to work well for me.
I need sunshine, some running around...
And oh, please throw in some shopping if possible!
Dinner awhile ago was somewhere near his workplace; (totally not worth mentioning)
We were drawn in by their mini porridge steamboat, but ended up having their 'mala' steamboat instead.
Except that there were only 3 groups of diners within the restaurant, and we were 'hinted' to leave at 9.30pm despite a staff telling me that the last order was at 10pm.
Food is so-so, service is not any fab either.
Even the man thinks the place will not last till our next visit, that is if we have absolutely nothing else to pick from.

the place is steamily deserted

Somehow we were spotting the identical shades of browns and reddish lips
Its no secret i adore my man.
He knows my reluctance to go home and face my TMA.
And so had suggested having a quick stroll around the practically deserted China Square, with me drooling over the double flaps outside a tiny second-hand bag store. (Nobody is open for business on weekends here!)
The nite was rounded up with a car spin down geylang (when we could just headed for Nicole Highway for a quicker route home) and now i am getting ready to just input alittle for my TMA due on tuesday.
Late photos uploaded:

moi with the whatever they sticked on me while i did ECG; the get-well hamper from my school
So in the midst of nursing back my health, i shall strive to do well for my final TMA.
Thanks to all who facebooked and msned me, non ti preoccupare, mi andrà bene. :)
- Mood:
okay
But weather was bad. And there is no sign of the celestial body.
Seriously, i have looked everywhere.
Anywho, something to share:
I was woken up by my bio-clock early this morning, thinking its a working day.
Gosh, had even hit the man hard on his chest, telling him we were late for work, till he grumbled loudly "yeah right, its Saturday and ur late for work."
Oops, it must be the stress coming from the recent work. (totally embarrassed)

#PX-6 eyelashes + Heidi Klum glitter eyeliner from victoria secret
Saturday lunchie was at Kim Gary Vivocity. Its our first visit and food is tasty enough.
Now, if only their yuan yang is thicker and creamier...
Had also wanted to grab some last minute mooncakes for the folks. But whats left were either the very expensive or the not-so-well-known brands...
The HB ended up shopping at montagut and left 30 mins later a happy man with 4 brand new shirts for work :)

My hot and spicy noodle is perfect on a rainy afternoon; while the man seeks comfort in the chicken chop
Headed for the nearby Keppel Bay for some 'couple-time' at TCC as vivo was overly populated with kids running around.
The man cant stands crowds too well.

do excuse the coffee stain; his coffee and mine

the man was getting bored due to the rain; the orangery lighting is no good for photo taking

stayed till 7pm before heading back to MIL's for dinner and more mooncakes
- Mood:
awake
Didnt do exactly well for the first one. At least i think so!
While one's complies to the 100 words requirement, i wonder why are the others writing paragraphs after paragraphs? Anyway, im still sticking to the word restriction.
Rather to play safe. I guess. Its my final lap, jokes aside please.
Alright, back to the lighthearted side!

signed off note that makes me tingle all inside;
the concerts and everything else had finally ended with a good punch!

and i told u i deserve a pedicure treat, OPI in a lovely shade of metallic "Copper Mountain Copper"
Manage to also purchase the foot cream i swear by for the longest time but has since gone missing for awhile.
I have their callus remover for at least the past 5 years. They have really good foot products.

My wedding band is back! Customized and totally shiny! Yippee!
They even showed me my previous ring to prove the one im getting is brand new.

had dinner at this Jia Xiang Kuching Restaurant while waiting for Jason to come back from his.
The food is acceptably yummy, but a tad too pricy for my liking since this had cost the man $30++.

spot my new toy? Its a gift from HB!

stopped by watson after that as i have been itching to try the bubble mask from follow me. Its 1/4 of what i paid for my previous oxymask.
- Mood:
bouncy
Zoom past before i can even say Halleluiah.
Marked pretty much all the worksheets i had been lugging home for the past weeks.
And now i shall direct my red pens towards the workbooks in school from tomorrow onwards.
This is going to be a real short post as the man is just beside me studying hard for his papers tomorrow.
Good Luck, love!
A pass from u means a jumbo caviar for me! Wohoo!

what the man made for breakie today, yumz~
- Mood:
awake
Its final, i will most probably settle on a jumbo (or a maxi jumbo; if there is stock for it) rather than the GST.
Dinner was so late at close to 9pm. The HB brought me for a car spin; we had wanted to go somewhere really cozy for steamboat as it had been raining since the nite before. But everywhere we tried were packed. I guess everybody else was having the same craving due to the weather!
We settled on ramen instead. Spicy thai for me, and sichuan for him.

while the man waited impatiently for his order

he decided to take pictures of the wife with and without her new specs

and shared the yummy beancurb and claypot chicken
Goodnite for now peeps. Am going to watch "Coco Chanel" on DVD before turning in.
Thanks to the man who manages to grab a copy from amazon!
- Mood:
lazy
It was such a impromptu plan that i didnt even call to make reservation.
We ate so much that i could hardly walk after that.
Had to skip both lunch and dinner. Thats how seriously filled up i am.
The HB said all my net surf for the Chanel bag i wanted to buy is good enough to fill me up.
(Ha, very funny!)
Anyway, food and service was good as usual though i had to eat my share in between smses with colleagues for this mon's big event.

excuse my poor dining etiquette

meet don and mil

i heart this plum shelf bra tank from VS, it gives me the cleavage i never have, but somehow, what happen to my flabby arms?
- Mood:
curious
Lance's carbon fibre spoiler is scratch to the max, all thanks to your highness here.
Manage to snap this while she is having her usual late morning nap.
