.... the Lazy Me (Part 2)

Youth
Speaking of food, we had ramen the same day we decided to spring the surprise on Pop.
The weather doesnt allow for anything else besides some soupy hot noodles, i tell you.
And so, its ajisen instead of the usual thai and jap when we were shopping for early Xmas pressies.
its been ages since i have them, and they are way better than what i rem! Must try!

HB's tontoro ramen

my tomyan ramen

and we shared the fried cuttlefish and fried tofu
Pretty good deal with UOB credit card, servings are just right for "lunnier", and we managed to redeem this year Sesame street umbrella and calender after that.
Woke up bright and early on Sat morn as Pucci was due for his grooming session at Vivo city.
Pucci getting all edgy; and we saw this cute little bunny as well

the lonely old man vs the happy chap when he came home

We had breakie at white dog cafe while pucci was being groomed. Its our first time and we will definitely be back!
Superb services from their staff, and food are all yummily sinful!

cream of chicken with an extra order of the button mushrooms, they are huge!

our lunch value set are all worth the money, will definitely come again, have i already said that earlier?

and i just need to have this when i saw it! So oriental!
That nite, the 3 of us took a short walk across the lorongs wanting to check out the new prawn fishing farm (the former Singapore badminton hall) At $30 per rod, we went home with 12 prawns 3 hours later.
Not too bad for first timers like us!

we will be back soon, the HB gets the kick out of it, he wants to go again!

supper after prawn fishing at ho kee, we were super hungry, burp!

Youth
Im suppose to be in bed. I so hate Sunday.
Hate waking up tomorrow. Hate the Monday Blue.
Hate thinking what to wear to make myself feel better...
Anyway, its been a lousy week.
With Pucci warded to Mount Pleasant for a nite on Tues.
Tons of exam papers to be marked over the weekend. Yada Yada Yada.
But the fact that i got to pick 2 PM figurines the HB bought me as our anniversary pressies never fails to cheer me up!
And we finally watched a movie after months of sticking to the DVDs.
MJ deserves better than the Blu Ray honestly.

Minus the fact the huge lady in front of me who was swaying along with all the songs i had to pat her on the shoulder, its a great show! Go watch it! If you a fan like me, or not a fan like the man.

Happy tots for the week:

met the gals for dinner last monday at New York New York AMK Hub

on the nite of Halloween (kose mask courtesy of HB's), moi came home with 3 blue boxes

first up: 2010 members' only figurine; look how sweet the pout is

2nd: Bought the newer version of the O21, after all the in house discount provided by Jessie, HB paid only $61.10 for this

3rd: The man was rather skeptical that i might get a double of this, i swear i dun have this yet; look how the sandals resemble my Chanel

MJ tee from last nite's movie; coloured tights from PP Isetan; only $5 each!

lashes still very intact after a week!

Lets roll in the nasty that has totally spolit the man's weekend chirpy mood:

some jealous freak scarred lance so badly he needs a new paint job soon; boo boo!

Io non sono supporre a maledire, ma come si fa?
Shame on you, whoever you are!

.... the Poor Doggie

  • Oct. 26th, 2009 at 11:59 PM
Stubborn
Pucci is sick. The Poor dog.
We were watching the telly last nite when he started rolling and trembling on the floor for a couple of seconds.
The FIL was so worried that he had held him tight immediately, with Pucci cuddling the owner like a kola bear, while shivering.
But he seem okie after awhile and even response to 'kaikai' with a cheerful tail wave.
We had thought he was alright and was perhaps having a nitemare or something.

I wasnt aware that he was running a fever today.
While i was bitching with the gals over dinner at AMK hub, the poor dog was sent to Mount Pleasant by the folks for blood test and everything. I should have come home straight after work, sensing the difference in HB's SMSes.
He kept telling me Pucci is okie, when he is seriously not. Im so angry with myself now.
Im not ready to face anymore loss, Dio, ti prego benedica tutti i miei più amore.

Pucci Baby, get well soon k?

.... the Saturday Has Ended

  • Oct. 24th, 2009 at 9:11 PM
New Me
Rather young i must say.
Coz we were up early, visiting the Bugis temple with the inlaws, rounded up with one of the most delicious Thai food we ever had at some coffee shop nearby. U tell me, pineapple rice for 4 person priced at $5, along with 3 other side dishes, the father inlaw paid only $18 for everything.
I ate enough, swear to begin the diet plan from today onwards. (am sharing the takeaway subway with the HB for dinner in awhile; to disgress alittle, i think of London whenever we eat subway.)

After dropping the folks home, we set off for  City Square Mall, located 15 minutes away from where we stay. Nothing really fab since most of the shops arent exactly open for business yet, except for the many eating places and my all time fav Metro. (we even shook hand with Mr Batman. Didnt take any picture though despite the SA wanting us to as the man prefers the Astro boy. But honestly between you and me, i kinda like Batman the most among the rest of the super heroes. Simply coz he is the richest, hah hah!)

Anywho, we bought the MIL 2 tees, and i managed to snag home a black chiffon top and another tier dress which will be so perfect for the new week. And oh, if ur a fan of kose white mask, do go down and grab yours! They are selling like hot cakes at $18 each only. (Im not sure of the usual price, but im very sure its very much cheaper since every customer is only entitle to buy 2!) Also spotted is the limited edition kit and makeup bag KOSE has collaborated with Kitty Lab, the exhibition will be on next month at the Singapore Expo, are u going? Well i am!

Im also uploading my newly 'implant' eyelashes for all to see. I thought they look pretty good since i only pay $57 for them. Its just the face washing that is making me crazy! Seriously i hope they dun drop off so soon, though i have already found one strand on my shoulder awhile ago. Boo boo.

hey i am also trying to show my huge forehead with a dash of rashes courtesy from Pucci's licking

i hope these work well

And for those who shows their concern after my previous post;
Im trying to live with my fats, so dun worry too much for me.
Pink of health is definitely more important at this age!

At Peace
Much as so many unpleasant things are happening all within the weeks.
Something out there still managed to make me smile.
Like a little gal.
Who gets to pick her fav sweets at the Candy Bar.
That i am so loved by the people around me.

a colleague came back from shanghai with this; the HB was twiddling with the new cellphone and decided to custom made the wife a wallpaper

spent $12 ebaying these eye saver and the adorable name card holder i have been itching for since i saw them in Seoul a few years ago

On that fateful morning last week, we were so trapped in the house when the door knob got permanently stucked for good. The HB had no choice but to remove the entire knob to release me in time for the 10.30am meeting.

the door with the missing knob VS the view from the inside

The cousins didnt get to eat (sleep) much for the past few days. So on the eve of the final service, the HB drove some of us to the nearby hong kong cafe for dinner / supper.

may the force of the cousin - fellowship continues; meet my love, my pillar, my soul mate

The last 5 days were tough to handle. But it was made easier as all of us stick it out for one another. Now that it is finally over. Its time to hit back to reality. Gran, may u rest in peace...

thats how weary everyone (and pucci) was...

So much so that i was perspiring hard while having brunch at Ding Tai Feng with the rest of the family. Today seems like the perfect time to get together as we are watching Cats tomorrow and meeting my family for dinner on sunday.
You see, its MIL's & Pucci's birthday in another few days time; and the How family is great fan of the restaurant anyway.

Didnt take tons of pictures as these are what we always eat; and the noodle is what i always order

.... the Dog's Life

  • Mar. 30th, 2009 at 10:19 AM
Express Myself
We kept seeing this mongrel whenever we jogged down the park. And its a huge dog.
He was strolling by himself when we first saw him. We hardly took any notice as we had just assumed that his owner had decided to unleash him for a free walk or something. (which is apparently so wrong)
But it seems like he was always there, right at the same particular spot when we spotted him again, days after days.
There was just this once, he decided to lay right in the middle of the jogging path, and becoz of his humongous size, he had occupied the whole pathway. He wasnt even moving away when we were jogging past him.
I had thought he was super smart then, to just laid there, where the park's light is at its brightest.
Nobody could argue that they didnt see him if they really knock themselves silly on him. (well, except for this man im pretty sure is from Ch**a, who had wanted to cycle right though him if the dog hadnt stayed alert and move away. Yup, thats how cruel some people really are, if u know what i mean.)
We didnt jog for the last couple of weeks becoz of that 'wound' on my right foot, and also its the march holiday.
(The man said we must give ourselves a rest every 10 weeks or so)
The last time i saw the dog was that evening when i was on my way to meet the gals for steamboat. I wonder whether he is still okie.

The HB and i caught Marley and Me the other night, and we can really relate to the owners in the movie. Coz we also have a nitemare from hell - Pucci, our silky terrier, who thinks he is a man trapped in a dog's body.
We are back to our jogging session tonite, (hopefully it will not rain) and i hope the dog is happy wherever he is at now.

.... the Quiet Weekend Sticking To HB

  • Sep. 1st, 2008 at 1:49 AM
Express Myself
Its a pretty quiet weekend, considering we dun have anything specific planned for.
It seem like people we know were all busy with something.
Even our own parents...

240
We had to call before passing them the mooncakes we bought...

The MIL has her weekly singing session lined out, and Don was getting ready to visit Comex with his friends.
240240
Only Pucci is free to entertain us when we dropped by with the mooncakes.

And its also rather late already when we dropped by my parents' place to have Dad's lappy installed just now.
Coz mum was out shopping the whole afternoon and Dad was playing mahjong with his khakis.
Dah!

Anyway, the man and i were at IKEA yesterday evening, to satisfy our sudden craving for the hotdogs and to buy a couple of dinner plates.
We even dropped by the next door Courts to 'kapo' on the price of the lappy we bought from Comex.
Apparently, its a few hundreds of different. So its a good deal lah!

Dinner was simple at the Bedok hawker, where we had the porridge again.
I think i will never get sick of eating their porridge. Its so yummy!

240240
The must-order sugar cane drink    The culprit that makes me cough non stop again - i shouldnt have eaten this...

240240
The porridge! Must try!                                                                       And my man

Its indeed a quiet weekend, sticking to the HB.
So this is what marriage is all about.
Being there...

.... the Birthday of MIL and Pucci

  • May. 4th, 2008 at 12:55 PM
Beautiful
Its MIL and Pucci's birthday yesterday.
They share the same date coincidentally.
We bought the MIL a perfume and some ginseng, while Stella got her a cake from breadtalk.
Dinner was at a coffee shop nearby and Pucci went along.

The dog from hell is now 2 years old.
We went shopping last week and bought him another squeaky toy and some treats.
He loves all things that make sounds and will squeak himself to bed everynite.
Stella got him some supply of Casear and Don had even went all the way to Sengkang to buy him some doggie muffins.
Happy Birthday Pucci, you are a big boy now.

.... the Mother in law

  • Jan. 5th, 2008 at 6:03 PM
Express Myself
HB's mum left for the Genting Highland early this morning and will only be back on Monday nite.
Honestly, MIL is pretty indispensable.
The whole family needs her for many reasons.

FIL needs her to chat at nite before going to bed.
HB needs her to wake him up for work.
Don needs her to prepare his meals.
Granny needs her to chat in the afternoon.
Pucci needs her to play " Fetch".

Most of the time, she only manages short trip to Malaysia and will be back in a day time.
The only time she left for somewhere further was when all of us visited Korea last Xmas.
Pucci had to be boarded and came back with all the fleas and ticks.
Enough of this yeeks, didnt want to go any further. ( roll my eyes )

There were no meals the whole day.
All of us ate out.

Pucci was left at home alone while we grabbed our food.
He was stationing himself by the door, waiting.
The dog loves her with all his heart, for he always insists to be held after she comes home from her daily jog.

And i need her too...

For i have never fancy outside food.
My mum always cook before she left for work.
And MIL cooks most of the days too.

Im spolit rotten by both of them.
The most i can manage is 3 days of outside meals and im back home pestering someone to cook for me.
Nevermind what is left in the fridge.

MIL is going to Hong Kong in March and will only be back a week before our AD.
I really cannot imagine how the family is going to survive without her around...

.... the Xmas Dinner

  • Dec. 24th, 2007 at 11:22 PM
Youth
We didnt went anywhere for dinner this Xmas.
HB's mum had prepare Tepanyaki buffet for the whole family.
All of us stayed in for dinner, including Pucci.

Pucci waiting for his Xmas Treat

It's a cozy dinner with lotsa of eats.
The usual are the Satay and Chicken Wings from Old Kallang Airport Food Centre.
While the rest are the Tepanyaki ingredients, buffet styles.

Stella got me a Aldo wristlet.
And Auntle Lan cried when HB passes her our Xmas pressie.
He had explained to me that his family didnt have the habit of getting Xmas pressie for the others.
I was rolling my eyes like crazy.

The wristlet im trying to find a reason to use

I mean, i always get them Xmas pressie.
Every single year, for the past 8 years.
And i have never expect them to get me anything in return.
Its the joy of wrapping the gifts and giving them to my loved ones that make my day.

HB mentioned that his mum had hinted that she thinks a treat from us will do for this year Xmas initially.
But i have not wanted it,.
A treat is NOT the same as getting pressie what!

The night ended after we polished off the cake given by Auntie Lan's Boss - The Link.
It looks so Xmassy!
