Happy Xmas peeps! And a merry new year ahead.
Anyway, its been a terribly eventful year for moi.
Sure hope everything will be sailing alot more smoothly next year.
And its high time the wish list to be updated.
Had promise my folks i shall buy lesser and save more. (And eat lesser, this i promise myself)
And so, we went prawning the third time last tues after the dentist appointment and watching AVATAR on 3D.
The adventurous man wanted to try a new prawning spot.
We headed to the one in Bishan park.
My my my, they even have a fish spa, i have been wanting to try that since eons.

moi posed with the final result; dinner that nite
Met Chuz like finally the next evening at Tampines 1.
The place was packed with people, but no decent place for dinner.
Made a bad choice when i picked F.I.S.H to meet the gal. Food was lousy, hardly comparable with their sister company's fish and co.
Well maybe because we picked beef and lamp instead of fish... (roll my eyes)
But at least the staff were attentive enough.
Food: 2 out of 5, inhouse service: i will give a 4 out of 5.

while waiting for the gal, i was thirsty; the birthday gal in another couple of day

lamb chop vs beef steak

my xmas pressie this year; i cant get enough of the pink glitter stones; friends for eleven years and counting

I wish i can capture a nicer pic of this blue kitty she got me as last year xmas pressie.
(but i only got it this year!)
Tthats how many donkeys we had not met!
So soft, so comfy!
Merry Xmas Gal, and friends forever!

Used to prepare 25 pressies, and this year, its down by half...
Lesser friends? Less sensitive? Or maybe even both?
U tell me, I honestly have no idea...
Am kinda ashame of that actually.
Its time to work on spending more times with the gals.

No more going to bed late; surfing the moon away on VS, Shopbop, ebay...
I need my beauty sleep, period.
Else no amount of eye cream is going to save me.
Oh God. Thats how nasty school hols are for me.
I can just spend the whole day shopping online, checking out the latest bag collection, and basically doing netbish...
U cant blame me! With the super attractive USD rate, even pop likes ebay...
Anyway lets make this a quick one.
Were at Ikea last evening ( woke up too late for breakie.)
Didnt manage to get the sofa bed coz the man kept complaining abt the lack of space in the study room.
We got a Poang instead.
Psst... Im so proud of HB, he assembled it all by himself.
And so to reward him, we got 2 detolf for his SOC's collection...

relaxing... but excuse me, its for me
No date is fixed yet. But its never too early! (Hint huh!)
Dinner was at New York New York.
The meat platter was ahem... but mud pie and service is to die for!
Go if ur a sucker for fab attention from the staff, even on a crowded weekend nite!
Both thumb up!

its my second visit, and the place never fails to bring back memories of LA...

And now im complaining about the yellowish picture taken using HB's Ominia II. I look horribly nerdy...

Top: Turtleneck from Ralph Lauren (coz i had rashes all over my neck)
Skirt: Marc Jacob (i heart all his stuff now!)
Accessory: White Chanel 2.55 Cavier
No makeup = seedy eyes *pout*

The long weekend has been packed with all sort of activities you can think of.
Movie, catching up with the folks, prawning (yes, prawning, had never tried that before!), shopping, trying out new dining places...
Didnt even sleep late these days, wanting to head out as soon as we can!
And we have enjoy ourselves really really much. (Except for the disappointment with Kitty Lab.)
Hey Jac, i did popped by expo today bright and early armed with my cam, but the ticketing officer still said no to photo taking inside...
Tragedy isnt it? And so manage to console myself with more shopping at JL.
The man didnt even grumble one bit!
He will rather have me shopping for clothes! And he promise the trip to Puroland soon!
I was hopping around like a mad old lady on Thursday. Coz, it was officially the last day of school.
No more waking up at 7am to reach school at 8am. And our school newsletter team wins ourselves the OCA this year! Hooray!
Was helping Nura with her spring-cleaning of her workstation when some of the colleagues started singing her the birthday song.
Goodness me! I wasnt even aware its her 29th birthday. Was so guilty that i had asked my RO for timeoff to head out so as to get the gal a tiny cake. The rest of the day was spent catching up with the gals, no more spring-cleaning. Oops.

That nite, instead of catching up on the beauty sleep, (check out my panda eyes!), i had made HB drove us to GV Grand.
New Moon New Moon New Moon! The movie is anything i expected, (boring, that is coz the book itself is the least fav of my installments) but both of us have a great time popping popcorn and checking out Jacob, my all time fav character! And i do appreciate the fact that the movie follows the book really closely. Now i cant wait for 'eclipse' to be release on the 30th June 2010, at least i dun have to wait for another year!
Mom needed to work OT on Haji and so HB and i decided to spring a surprise on pop when we dropped by in the evening with Yoshinoya takeaway and his fav durian puffs
And this is when the Dare comes in; that is IF i am able to catch Philip's chinchilla and pass it to HB, he will get me the Chanel cambon im eying on for the loooongest time. And so!

And oh, we bought a new figurine for the coming Xmas from Jessie as well.

Part 2 coming up next, before the sleepy bugs kick in!

Thank u very much Mdm!
The 3 Ss headed for the nearby Northpoint, finally settled on Bakerzin when starbucks is way too crowded for gossip session.
Had enjoyed the company so much i almost forgot about the man! LOL.
Only reaching havelock at 7.30pm!
their tea time special is so attractive we had a tough time choosing The cake

shirley's gracious wish (flourless cake) and latte

siew beng's foret noir (i like this the best!) and rose tea

am not very sure whats mine called (one of the festive cakes though), tea is lemon blush, very niceeeee!
Totally enjoy this tea session with the gals, a pity Nah couldnt join us!
And i even met Jessie! How coincidence!
I mean i just visited her yesterday at precious thots making order for some PM figurines, and today we met again in the cafe! Yup, thats me. I am usually friends with SAs who give thumb up services!
Some random pic to end the nite!

spotted this mushroom beside Lace this morning when i was on my way to school; the little men from the Retreat, so Xmassy!

Exam is over, been there, done it.
Arent going to cry buckets for mistaking this particular female SIN poet as a Malaysia poet.
Duh... Just leme clear this!
even wore my fav jumper for extra luck
Reception team, annual dinner and dance.
Woh, all within a day, u say it again.
Seriously. But its fun.
And terribly satisfying now that everything has ended beautifully.
The HB took me to Melting Pot for dinner on Thursday nite. To size up the car park, the man said.
But secretly, i think he just wanted us to have a post exam dinner celebration, Heh heh

with the man i love so mwah
Food selection is really so so. No food pictures as we didnt eat much.
While the HB enjoyed his, i spent mine replying SMS to the hotel's operation manager.
Lovely guy, who even got me a front carpark lot when the topic of my lousy parking skill came out.
No joke. Im off big time in small diminutive underground carparks.
Anyway, frontal service is good at MPC, but the waitress served me the wrong tea instead of Earl Grey.
I must really look stress out! Hah!

Bright yellow Chamomile instead grey earl grey label? I have no idea whats in this cake, but the tangy burst are so unforgettable!
Had worked more than 14 hours on Friday. Wanted to catch some winky over at pop's before setting off for the hotel.
But the short afternoon was spent bitching with the folks. Grin, we are having dinner tomorrow nite, Philip's treat!
The whole group of us left the school at 4pm, reaching the place at perfect time.
Didnt park at the promised lot as the colleagues' cars were right behind.
Had went into the carpark crossing my toes secretly i wont injure Lace.
The gals who were with me gave me much confidence. I even managed to park on a "humpy" lot.
And when the manager called mentioning he had spotted my car at the underground car park, I am so proud of myself!
Thanks to colleagues who offered their extra help, everything was done and ready before 7pm.
(Photos coming up next!)

Million thanks to Oliver and Ivan of Holiday Inn Atrium, we managed to snag lovely grey table cloths that match this year's theme:
A Black and White Affair

while everybody were hard at work, thanks peeps! All 188 bottle done in the midst of laughter from 12 super nice people
The doorgift for all, (matches my kitchen tiles so much!)
And i won a $50 Isetan shopping voucher! More shopping!

Hate waking up tomorrow. Hate the Monday Blue.
Hate thinking what to wear to make myself feel better...
Anyway, its been a lousy week.
With Pucci warded to Mount Pleasant for a nite on Tues.
Tons of exam papers to be marked over the weekend. Yada Yada Yada.
But the fact that i got to pick 2 PM figurines the HB bought me as our anniversary pressies never fails to cheer me up!
And we finally watched a movie after months of sticking to the DVDs.
MJ deserves better than the Blu Ray honestly.
Minus the fact the huge lady in front of me who was swaying along with all the songs i had to pat her on the shoulder, its a great show! Go watch it! If you a fan like me, or not a fan like the man.
Happy tots for the week:

met the gals for dinner last monday at New York New York AMK Hub

first up: 2010 members' only figurine; look how sweet the pout is

2nd: Bought the newer version of the O21, after all the in house discount provided by Jessie, HB paid only $61.10 for this

3rd: The man was rather skeptical that i might get a double of this, i swear i dun have this yet; look how the sandals resemble my Chanel

MJ tee from last nite's movie; coloured tights from PP Isetan; only $5 each!

lashes still very intact after a week!

some jealous freak scarred lance so badly he needs a new paint job soon; boo boo!
Shame on you, whoever you are!

It doesnt help when i met an ex-partner when doing PSLE marking the other day.
Called it insensitive or whatever;
"Gosh, u look tired. It must be the weight u put on. U had looked better last year... yada yada yada..."
Ya right, a perfect way to start a day, i must say.
Anyway, im declaring how much i adore Ade in this post as well.
Gal, ur a total gem! Thanks for standing up for me when the nasty comments were made.
I totally appreciate this! Love u!

Oh right, my #1 has finally touch down our sunny island.
She is white, medium size, double flap, caviar and pretty much pumped up with just my wallet, car key and cellphone.
But. She is soft, so soft that i can hug her to sleep every nite!
- Mood:
cheerful
Something out there still managed to make me smile.
Like a little gal.
Who gets to pick her fav sweets at the Candy Bar.
That i am so loved by the people around me.

a colleague came back from shanghai with this; the HB was twiddling with the new cellphone and decided to custom made the wife a wallpaper

the door with the missing knob VS the view from the inside
The cousins didnt get to eat (sleep) much for the past few days. So on the eve of the final service, the HB drove some of us to the nearby hong kong cafe for dinner / supper.

may the force of the cousin - fellowship continues; meet my love, my pillar, my soul mate
The last 5 days were tough to handle. But it was made easier as all of us stick it out for one another. Now that it is finally over. Its time to hit back to reality. Gran, may u rest in peace...

thats how weary everyone (and pucci) was...

If ur reading this, Chuz, this is for u.
Its been aeons since we met up. (Please dun kill me lah!)
So last tues, the 2 happily married women finally managed to find time to bitch over a cup of coffee.

Thanks for the treat at Ma Maison, galfriend!

And i just couldnt resist this chiffon dress from Bysi; 15% courtesy off Chuz's member card! Good deal

The lousy grade had affected me so much i wasnt even in the mood to window shop along the orchard belt.
Had left the gals pretty early coz i just want to go home and buried myself in my comforter.
But i cant.
The HB kissed me lovingly on the forehead before sending me off to meet the gals.
With reminders that i should not dwell on this anymore and should focus on what is to be done next instead.
Pop called awhile ago and told me to try harder next time. Mum even promised me a japanese dinner.
So! Enough of these self misery.
Im picking myself up, getting ready to put up another battle with the 3 TMAs and 3 hours of exam.
The plan to upgrade the cellphone needs to be put on hold for at least another 6 months.
Ditto to the Chanel 2.55 double flap i have been craving for the longest time.
The man had still wanted to get me the Renoir even though i blew the final paper.
But honey, i do not deserve it. I know i dun.

comfort food and pouch from Gac, but the one i really treasure is the sms she and ade sent after i left for home.

The short trip in June turns out to be 5 days in Hong Kong! Dancing around like a mad woman.
I love HK for the food, the shopping and the food. Did i already mention food?
Maybe u know, maybe u dun.
Hong Kong holds a very important place in our hearts for its the first place we travel to as a couple.
Something like when i was 21 and he was 23; when disneyland has yet to set her feet on the land.
Now isnt that sweet? laugh
This will be my 5th trip to hk, (if im going that is.) And i was so looking forward to the trip till the swine flu attacks.
I was in HK with Chuz when SARS broke out years ago, and we were thankful we were safe, especially when the particular hotel is just around the corner from where we were staying.
The HB has a friend who has this small rental apartment in Kowloon and i was looking forward to staying in a real HK apartment. Not that Royal Pacific isnt terrific. (Grand Tower was our all time fav till it creased operation and RP became our top pick.)
Annnd, we wont be spending tons as we are thinking of flying with Jetstar instead of the usual Cathay.
Oh come on, it will be SUCH an experience; flying budget, staying at a local apartment, you know the works?
With the economy downturn, this will be the perfect time. So logically this will be a really no frills trip!
Poo, or maybe i should just change my cell phone.
- Mood:
disappointed
We were out rather early today; even before we had breakie.
Well, coz Zuo Qi's shoe shop at the Iluma is having her soft opening.
Nothing else will be able to drag me out of bed at such indecent hours anyway.
The place is still undergoing minor renovation when we arrived.
Even the mall's carpark is not ready for operation yet.
The constant delay has the gal on nervous breakdown already coz the mall was suppose to be ready end of last year initially.
Anyway, the shop is known as "In my shoes"and its located just beside the Coffee Bean on the 2nd level.
Do pop by and support lah, their diamante footwear are simply amazing!
On a lighter note, we left for brunch soon after that.
Had this sudden craving for ramen and gamely tried out Koo Kee Dumpling & Ramen house since they are having some value set promo.
The HB ordered his all time fav si chuan ramen while i became indecisive over their tom yam seafood and chicken ginseng. Made up my mind on the latter for its ginseng, maybe its hightime to pamper myself with some chinese tonic herbal soup or something...

The man cant seem to be able to stop munching on their pickles and even asked for a second topup

his ice lemon tea and my osmanthus tea is part of the set promo; the place is nicely furnished

we are entitled to 2 side dishes, i thought the crispy bean curbs are better than the spring roll; the man like both as usual

he says this is better than the one from Crystal Jade, mine comes with a drumstick and many strips of ginseng
Total bill adds up to only $28. And its hardly always for the man to say he wouldnt mind coming back here to eat again.
And yes, i wana try the spicy tom yam seafood ramen and xiao long bao (6pcs for $6) the next time! Oh, or maybe the set meal for 2. Okie okie, we will definitely be back!
- Mood:
cheerful
Had been pretty okie.
Minus the 2 day old wound at my right foot that is still spurting speck of blood on and off.
The particular location of it also doesnt allow me to wear the usual working shoes, and i have to walk to classes in my flats. (bless me!)
Anywho, blame it on my laziness that caused the shot glass to fall and hit the foot on sat nite.
The HB said no jogging till it heals. (i highly thinks he is feeling lazy; not that i will get infected etc)
And oh, i received three pressies today as well!
1) a super eye catching pack of taiwan's candy from the colleague
2) an ultra sweet precious moment luggage tag from sandra
3) a bottle of sand decor from my P5 boy, who got it from his recent trip to Dubai.

Its been a great start after all!

As much as i tell myself that i should have it completed before meeting the gals last nite, i was barely at question 2.
The mark weightage is freaky too high, just a mistake and no marks will be rewarded, not even for the workings. (scream!) Woke up bright and early this morning to figure out the rest of the horror.
No luck still, so am typing out all the available answers for the rest of the questions first.
And i had thought i could finish it and pop by town to collect the tags and look around for HB's pressie.
On a lighter note, the dinner with the gals last evening was great as usual.
And we had pretty much successfully entertained ourselves totally before the new term starts in another few days time.
No pictures though, coz we were too engrossed with the eating part. LOL.
And oh, gotten Ade's pressie this year as well.
Its a gorgeous notebook from Jim Thompson. We were joking about what to pen down in it.
I say, that will take time you know.
Wicked smile- and it will definitely take more than this notebook to write down all her act(s).
The super sweet Charmaine got us each a Sally Hansen manicure clean-up pen.
Pretty useful for my fat toe nails. Thanks love!
Gac pulled out 2 items from her last trip to Japan - a Winnie the pooh drawstring pouch and a Kitty eye mask for me and ade to pick from. No prize for guessing it right which one is for me actually.
You gals sure have me in your heart.
I heart all of you! Mwah!
who doesnt love pressies!?

Woh, the last meeting was like months ago and i wasnt around when they metup last dec.
Missed all of you!
Was on msn and saw Gac online last weekend.
She was contemplating whether to get a Palermo, a Trevi or a Tivoli.
I tot a Palamo is cool since its good for someone who flies around so often.
Even the man wanted a GM size Palermo for work.
But its too much for me to spend for the coming anniversary.
Maybe next time love!
Despite her status being away, i was so hook to the subject that i had happily type away my views on the respective bags.
(in case you are reading this, sorry lah, for some reason, i always appear offline)
its been awhile since i catch up wth them, and they have even delay the whole xmas pressie exchanging becoz of me.
Awfully gulity, but equally pleased i have such a brunch of understanding pals for life.
So yup! we are meeting on the 19th (after my second TMA)
And we are going for streamboat steamboat somewhere in Bugis.
Cant wait gals!
